Versatile Panels get thumbs up

The 2020 Easy Build System took out the tiles of HIA GreenSmart Product of the Year, impressing the judges who praised it for its efficiency and versatility.

A new product from 20*20 Pty Ltd, the 2020 Easy Build System is made of lightweight, load-bearing composite steel panels which are easily locked together to create the structural shell of a building.

“This product is a fast, robust and efficient system,” the judges said. “It saves on labour, material and resources whilst providing an attractive home.”

Wayne Rogers of 20*20 said the product was not only good for building environmentally friendly homes but also was quick and easy to use.

“The system itself is an innovative way of building that speeds up the construction process and requires very little skilled labour,” he said. “The product provides quick turnaround times, along with excellent thermal ratings -  on average eight star – acoustic benefits and structural strength.”

The Judges also liked the fact that the product offered the opportunity to recycle because buildings were able to be taken apart and rebuilt in another location.

Talking little time to construct, the product’s use also resulted in minimal waste and running costs.

The 2020 Easy Build System panels could be finished with a wide range of looks to personalise residences.
